(Video) Reflections on the 'reset' and prospects for the future. The US-Russia reset was a hallmark of President Barack Obama's first-term foreign policy. The bilateral relationship produced several key outcomes, particularly in 2009-11, including the landmark New START treaty, Russian WTO membership and cooperation on reining in Iran's nuclear ambitions. In the past year, however, the relationship has faltered amid domestic turmoil in Russia and disagreements between the two countries on major items on the international agenda. Dr Samuel Charap, IISS Senior Fellow for Russia and Eurasia, spoke about the future of this critical relationship as the second Obama term begins.
