Although the number of scholars with expertise on HIV/AIDS in Russia remains small, it is growing, and, as a result, there is a growing body of research and published knowledge on the subject. Nearly all the experts are health scientists or public health specialists; consequently, the growing body of knowledge focuses on the medical, public health, and public policy aspects of this emerging issue.
