The winner of the 2018 Rothschild Prize is Evgeny Finkel for his book: Ordinary Jews: Choice and Survival during the Holocaust (Princeton University Press 2017).
An Honorable Mention was given to Mikhail Alexseev and Sufian Zhemukhov for their book: Mass Religious Ritual and Intergroup Tolerance: The Muslim Pilgrims’ Paradox (Cambridge University Press, 2017).
The Joseph Rothschild Prize in Nationalism and Ethnic Studies is awarded annually by the Association for the Study of Nationalities.
