(WNYC) PONARS Eurasia member and Barnard/Columbia University political science professor Kimberly Marten discussed topics addressed in her book “Warlords: Strong-arm Brokers in Weak States” on New York City’s Brian Lehrer radio show. Marten specializes in international relations and international security. Her research focuses on warlords, militias sovereign states, and state security institutions across the former Soviet Union and its periphery.
