Hoagland, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary, Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, Nisha Desai Biswal, Assistant Secretary of State, Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, and Anthony Blinken, Deputy Secretary of State, all emphasized that U.S. interest in Central Asia is enduring, not transitory.
